The estate has had three different Chateaux on the site, the most recent being built around 1900 and is of comparatively modern construction techniques.

After the ownership of the La Panoise family, the estate was purchased by UK based owners in the 1980's. They were responsible for mothballing the Chateau and many estate properties, yet maintaining the agricultural business and achieving planning for a master development scheme to embrace leisure and residential uses.

The Chateau itself comprises approximately 100 rooms with the possibility of conversion into 26 suites and together with the numerous out-buildings, would lend itself to a small
private estate.
